What can face search show?
Possible matches from public profiles, webpages, and image sources, with original links you can open and review.
What kind of photo works best?
A clear, well-lit JPG, PNG or WebP photo up to 20 MB with one visible face. Very small, blurred, covered, or multiple-face photos may not pass the local check. Use your own photo or one you have permission to use.
How is this different from a reverse image search?
Reverse image search mostly finds copies or edited versions of the same picture. Face search compares the face itself, so it can surface different photos with a similar-looking face. The two approaches complement each other, and neither proves identity.
Is selecting a photo a real search?
No. Selecting and checking a photo happens in your browser, without uploading it or using credits. A formal search requires your confirmation.
Do I need an account?
You can check a photo locally without an account. Sign in to buy credits or confirm a search. Buying credits never starts a search automatically.
When is a credit used?
Confirming a search reserves 1 credit. It is used when the task is accepted and recorded. If no task is accepted and the attempt is closed, the reservation is released. Uncertain submissions are checked first.
What if there are no results?
A completed search may return no matches and still uses 1 credit. This does not prove that a photo is absent from the web or that a profile is genuine.
How long are photos and results kept?
We delete our original-photo copies after processing, within 24 hours of receipt. Saved previews and results remain for 30 days unless you delete them sooner. External processing has separate policies; see Privacy for details.
Does a high similarity score prove identity?
No. Similarity 92/100 ranks visual resemblance, not a 92% probability of identity. Different people can look alike. Review the original page and supporting context before drawing a conclusion.
What is face search for, and what isn’t it for?
Use it to check where your own photos appear, review a dating or social profile before you trust it, or research photos you are authorized to use. Don’t use it to harass, stalk, or impersonate anyone, to get around privacy settings, or for employment, housing, credit, or other consequential decisions. Responsible use terms
